Interior Doors
As normal settlement occurs, doors that once closed properly may bind or not latch. This may require adjusting the hinges, shaving the door slightly or adjusting the lock catch. We will return one time to adjust doors that bind or do not latch anytime during the first year you own your home, but we suggest you live in your home through a full heating season before requesting this service.
Variations
Variations in grain and color occur naturally in wood cabinets, hardwood floors, railings, interior and exterior doors and trim. These cannot be avoided.
Gaps
Normal shrinkage of new lumber may cause joints to open in trim or baseboard to separate from the walls. These gaps do not affect the house structurally and can be filled with caulk by the homeowner.
