American Indians

Lenni-Lenape Indians: The Lenape Indians were also known as the Delaware Indian tribe because they lived along the Delaware River in Southeastern Pennsylvania (PA). These native Americans are thought to be one of the oldest races of humans.

The Susquehannock Indian Tribes: they were also known as Conestoga, Sasquesahanough, Minquas, Minquosy, Machoeretini, Mengwe, or Mingo and lived along the Susquehanna River. In 1701, they signed a treaty with William Penn stating, the Indians "shall forever hereafter be as one Head & One Heart, & live in true Friendship & Amity as one People." However, in 1763 the last of the Conestoga were massacred by racist near Lancaster, PA.
