Genesis has long been on the forefront of technology. As I recall they were instrumental in the development of the Vari-light. Vari-lights are very common these days but weren't "back in the day." Previously, bands used a host of giant hot lights with colored cellophane. Each light could be turned on or off for that color. Then came the vari-light -- one small light that could change to any color.
This tour showed Genesis to still be on the leading edge of technology. The giant stage, screens and lights almost looked like a sci-fi scene.

To see such a great bunch of musicians, singers and songwriters is always a good time. Watching these guys rock out gave me plenty of hope in growing old... or should I say "growing older"?
The highlight for me was watching Phil do "Hands, Head and Feet". Though I'd seen it performed before, it's always a wonder to see it. This is the part of the show during "I Know What I Like" when Phil does his tambourine solo whacking it against his hands, head and feet. Well, he actually hits a lot of his other body parts, too, like his hips and knees. Besides sounding and looking great, it appears to add longevity to your life? Maybe we should all give it try?
