You see I haven't got equipment. The language of images and sounds and text and how they fit together to create an overall effect is one area I am good at. Let's say for instance in a model I have used, I take something of deep psychological concern and generate that into the subtext through the use of juxtaposition, recursion, harmonies and disharmonies much in the way one would compose for music. Then I take the subject itself and bring that into the foreground of structure through more literal means, text, dialogue both of a documentary nature and of a dramatic one as well. Then, I try to situate the whole thing within an historical context through analogies and different kinds of extra textual references so that the text is open to the world beyond itself.
This helps with the contemplation of the issues in the light of reality, which could inspire action. So, I try to avoid something that is just expressionistic, just the getting off of emotions through criticism or a cry for help, and without being dogmatic imply the course toward solutions through the effect of overall aesthetic organization.

The overall project of the
Labyrinth is to be a multimedia "game"
in which people enter and choose paths that lead to different outcomes.
Any path might take you toward good or evil...
Toward enlightenment or shadows...and so on.
Sub-projects (that fall within the Labyrinth) are also meant to be able to stand on their own... and try to tackle a single issue. Projects such as "The Man Over There" which is about self-responsibility... or "King of Police" which is about the battle against big brother's attempt to strip away individuality.

To try n' weave these paths together, we are just starting to put together the "theme" of it all... When I say "of it all", I guess I mean "of the project" and of life itself.
This is what the latest email was about - Yore Killin' Me: How an individual trying to evoke positive outcomes, creates negative side-effects. and, must these consequences be considered? Should we let the side-effects curtail our objectives? How does/should an individual fit into the organism of society?

As the structure [of these webpages] starts to liquefy from a gaseous beginning, the stream will flow through the Membrane Domain and become "one with the Labyrinth".
So, instead of trying to build a rigid structure that is then propped up against the membrane, the collective "us" will start a flow... and let it go... let it grow.
In so doing, part of the thrill may be in being?

I would love to get in on equipment. You mentioned that you need all this help with graphics. Well I don't have equipment and am not that well versed in graphics, but I do love to mess around with the effective use of sound and text in relationship to picture. Have you all considered an overall literary/dramatic/documentary kind of statement which is also guided by sound? I also think of sound punctuation, much as Kabuki theatre. I think of sound as how we mold the picture and give it meaning, and much can be achieved of import, both in the dramatic and subliminal realm, a way of giving power to your message.

Yesssss... this is what I'm thinking, too!
When it comes to equipment, we have a wide variety of people helping with the project (this email will go out to 'em). The graphics requests were aimed at the people that enjoy graphics... for the only rule we have is: ya gotta have sum phun doing it!
Do you have the ability to film with anything? Or, what about seeing if you already have footage that would be useful? Another area you may be able to assist is in retrieving from and using the national archives?

I am just throwing out ideas. I'd like to colabborate, try to do something, as I have mostly directed work, but truly without being overbearing. Pull one off - a very strong message in honor of the photon belt emerging and of the preservation of our wholesome selves, which includes empowered growth, for the protection of our membranes. A wake up kind of message. I think of using certain wisdoms and then exhibiting the negative and positive in dramatic contexts. So, use dualism, which can often be illustrated by the way sound and picture respond to each other; i.e. can be strategized through structural articulation, to go beyond dualism.

Well, I wouldn't exactly say organized... but, we've started a trickle. Maybe it would be a good idea to send you some of the soundtrack stuph? Perhaps making sure your internet experience is optimized might help, too?
