Introduction

One can get pretty sad when they are all alone. After they've been beaten by their spouse over and over again... after they've seen their son beaten... their daughter terrorized... the hours of mental abuse... the shame of the sexual abuse that has been dealt... well, one can get pretty sad when everything in life that is important is taken away, and they're left alone.

Why would a spouse do this to a family? Abuse. Abandonment. Why rip the love to shreds?

Sorry to say, this is a true story. A recollection of how a spouse, a brother, a church, a lawyer and the legal system created a sad tale -- a tale of how to fail the children.

Since it's about a wife beating her husband, it may be hard to believe. It may be even harder to believe this wife is a mother who beat her son. I'd never received an adequate understanding of discrimination until this gender discrimination reigned down on me. The police came more than once in terrorizing scenes and took the children. The lawyer representing my wife abused the legal system in unimaginable ways. I was told by my attorney "there is no hope for a husband. There is no hope for a father." Though it was a difficult journey, I was able to regain my children and my hope. Now, my hope is -- by telling how my son, daughter, and I were abused... well, perhaps... others might not be abused. Please help us stop domestic violence.

The Pain Of Domestic Violence

People ask, "What was the most painful thing you had to endure while you were being abused?"

Sure, the emotional pain of watching your children being abused is brutal. Overall, there is nothing worse than having to watch your own kids get abused. Also, the sexual abuse (and guilt associated with it) is no fun, either. But, if asked about the most painful physical abuse of domestic violence, what comes to mind is probably not what one would expect.

Yes, the fists hurt. The blow from the wedding ring to the shin left the right leg with a chronic injury. Getting kicked by boots also left a lasting impression. On the other hand, fingernails drawing blood was not only painful at the time, but often resulted in infection and long lasting complications. However, the attack that hurt the most was getting money thrown in the face. Part of this included, a brand new $100 bill being used to put a papercut on my eyeball. My eye watered for days and days. I never regained the same level of vision.

Please help stop domestic violence. Thank you.

Why Stay In An Abusive Relationship?

If you are in an abusive relationship, it is time to get out. There is plenty of help available. Perhaps your friends, family, church or other support groups can lend aid. Though, you need to be careful. (In my instance, the younger brother, the church and the local police actually made things worse.)

The people running this website can offer suggestions to help you. If you are in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, The Women's Center is a great resource.

Preacherman, don't tell me,
Heaven is under the earth.
I know you don't know,
What life is really worth.
It's not all that glitters is gold;
'Alf the story has never been told:
So now you see the light, eh!
Stand up for your rights. Come on!

Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!

Conclusion

The trademark (depicted below) for this publishing company was designed, in part, by a victim of child abuse. It is his message to "the system" of the abuse that surrounds him. My son also contributed to the content of this website. Thank GOD for a boy like him. And, thank you to the other friends and family that have assisted.
